Max Kabot

Congrats on your 2 Town Proclamations, Nassau county Citation and NY State Citation !
Welcome to the team, Max! Since April, 2022 Max has been helping to collect canned food. He also collects with his baseball team "The Legends".Max is a Junior. He enjoys fishing and playing baseball. Go Legends! In 2023 Max became our co-leader. He organizes food drives, runs food drives, participates in events, and helps find new locations. He will take over Can You Help Too in 2025.

November 26, 2024: Volunteering time: 30mn. Max had a business meeting with Ms. Robley and Ms. Corsolito to organize a food drive. Imagine Early Learning Center is now our 11th permanent location! Volunteering time: 30mn. Max picked up donations at The Landmark on Main Street and introduced himself to the office manager. Volunteering time: 30mn. Max picked up donations at The Parent Resource Center.

 Volunteering time: 30mn. Max had a great meeting with Mr. Keith Klang from The Port Washington Public Library.
 Volunteering time: 30mn. Max had a great meeting at The Landmark on Main Street. Volunteering time: 30mn. Max met with Roberto and Danny from Carlo's Pizza. They had a nice meeting and Max gave them a trophy. Carlo's Pizza is the 2024 #1 supporter of Can You Help Too.
October 21, 2024: Volunteering time: 45mn. Max delivered donations to the food pantry of Our Lady of Fatima.

August 8, 2024: Volunteering time: 1hr. Max ran a food drive with his baseball team. Go Legends! And congrats!
July 30, 2024: Volunteering time: 45mn. Max picked up donations at Bach to Rock.
First couple of weeks of July : 6 hours: Max helped prepare the posters to display during the exhibit at Smusht.
July 15, 2024: Volunteering time: 1 1/2 hours: Max helped Jojo and The Navigators bring the food to the food pantry of Our Lady of Fatima and diapers and baby formula to The Parent Resource Center. We also had a meeting at Smusht to finalize the exhibit starting July 22.
June 25, 2024: Volunteering time: 2 hours: Max helped prepare supplies for our painting workshop for our upcoming exhibit in August at Smusht.
May 30, 2024: Volunteering time: 45mn. Max delivered donations to the food pantry of Our Lady of Fatima.
April 5, 2024: Volunteering time: 45mn. Max picked up donations at Bach to Rock.
March 16, 2024: Volunteering time: 30mn. Max dropped off donations at The Parent Resource Center
November 10, 2023: Volunteering time: 30mn. We raised money for the Food Pantry of Our Lady of Fatima. Together we raised $130!
November 3, 2023: Volunteering time: 30mn. Max dropped off food donations we collected on Halloween.
October 31, 2023: Volunteering time: 30mn. Max and friends, Hunter and Anthony collected food donations during our Halloween food drive.
October 30, 2023: Volunteering time: 30mn. Max helped with our Fundraiser with local business, BeautyFluff. So far we collected $60.
September 21, 2023: Volunteering time: 1 1/2 hours. We had a business meeting with Steve from Smusht. The meeting went really well. Smusht is now one of our permanent locations. We also stopped by the food pantry of Our Lady of Fatima. We dropped off food donations and we worked on a project with Sister Kathy for Plant a Row for the Hungry.
May 6, 2023: Volunteering time: 2 hours (1pm-3pm). The Fairy Festival was a huge success. The Sands Point Preserved welcomed more than 300 people. The Can You Help Too team made fairy soup with the children. We told people about our commUNITY project, and we also asked them to follow us on Instagram and to join our Facebook Group.
February 2, 2023: Volunteering time: 2 hours (3:30pm-5:30pm). We helped set up for the Grand Opening of "Art Drives Social Action - The Plant A Row Story". (February 1 - March 31)

October 15, 2022: Volunteering time: 4 hours (12pm-4pm) Thanks Max for running our booth during BeautyFluff special event "Fabulous You". Can You Help Too and Beautyfluff are partners. Together we are collecting food, diapers and baby formula with the help of our community. BeautyFluff hosts one of our bins and is one of our permanent locations. During the event people brought canned food. Max collected the canned food and told guests about our commUNITY project. He also collected email addresses of people who wanted to join our mailing list. The event was a big success!
October 5, 2022: Volunteering time: 1 hour and 15 minutes (2:30pm-3:45pm) Thanks Max for helping me pack the car with food donations and for delivering what we collected to Our Lady Of Fatima. Thanks also for meeting with Jack and I to meet with Matt Lanfant, one of the owners of the Cooking Lab. Great business meeting, The Cooking Lab is now our 4th permanent location in town!

The Sands Point Preserve on the original Guggenheim Estate embodies the grandeur and elegance that define the Gold Coast period of the early 20th century, when prominent American families built great mansions on large estates as summer retreats along the Long Island Sound. The Sands Point peninsula was the famed “East Egg” in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby.”Today, the magnificent 216-acre park, including its historic mansions and the Phil Dejana Learning Center, is owned by Nassau County, NY, and is maintained and operated by the Sands Point Preserve Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Conservancy provides year-round educational and cultural programs, seasonal celebrations, mansion tours, fitness activities as well as private/corporate event services and film/TV location facilities.There is also a playground, a rose garden, trails and so much more!

David and I used to take classes at the PRC when we were young. I still remember singing songs with Jeff Sorg.
Can You Help Too is thrilled to partner with The Parent Resource Center. We are helping the PRC collect baby formula and diapers.

The PRC Story
There is nothing as rewarding and challenging as becoming a new parent. You experience unconditional love, and the unending battle for a better night’s sleep. You join the ranks of parenthood, yet may feel lonely and confused. As infants mature to toddlerhood, you look for new ways to bond with them and support their growth.​The PRC story began with a simple belief: you don’t have to do it alone.​Celebrating more than 4 decades in Port Washington, The Parent Resource Center (“PRC”) has been an integral part of the community, bringing together families with young children to play, learn, grow, and make life-long friendships. We are the place where children and their caregivers make their first connections.​Founded by Lynne Patterson in 1980, the PRC was originally housed in one room of the old Flower Hill School on Campus Drive. Today, the PRC has grown to over 400 members and provides parenting workshops, social events, recreational outings, summer enrichment programs, and a myriad of developmental classes geared toward infants and toddlers. Since the beginning, a core commitment of the PRC has been supporting economically disadvantaged families. Our Outreach program helps many local families gain access to early childhood educational opportunities through our “Stepping Stones” preschool readiness classes, ESL classes, summer enrichment program and scholarships to PRC programs.​With professionally-led classes and a loving staff, The Parent Resource Center of Port Washington has become one of the premiere early childhood learning centers in our region. We strive to create an environment that is welcoming, safe and inclusive and hope that you’ll join us at an upcoming class or future event.
